Fun Tour to Nusa Penida by Fastboat

Fun Tour to Nusa Penida by Fastboat - Nusa Penida, Nusa Ceningan, and Nusa Lembongan are island groups located in the southeast of Bali Island. Over the past few years, these islands have become increasingly popular as one of the tourist destinations worth visiting. One of the tours offered while visiting this island varies, from village tours to the most popular, namely various water recreation, such as snorkeling, surfing, to kayaking and canoeing.

To get to Nusa Penida, there are three routes that can be traversed. First, from Sanur Beach. Second, from Kusamba Klungkung Beach, and Padang Bai Harbor, Karangasem. The crossing from Sanur is a favorite because the starting point is from the center of Denpasar, making it easier for tourists to reach the island which has recently become a favorite destination. The means of transportation include traditional boats (jukung), bali gili fast boat / speedboat. Meanwhile, ferries or roro are available in Padangbai and Kusamba. While at Benoa Harbor, a cruise is available which also covers the Lombok route.

Visitors can choose this type of water transportation according to their budget and the comfort provided. However, among these three options, the use of bali gili fast boats is the most popular. This is based on several considerations, such as comfort and speed. Compared to jukung which is a slow boat, travel time is a consideration for bali gili fast boat users. If a slowboat from Sanur to Nusa Penida can take up to 2 hours, then the fastboat only takes under 45 minutes.

For fastboat tickets, the range is IDR 300,000 to IDR 350,000 (one way) and IDR 500,000 to IDR 550,000 (PP). Meanwhile, children aged 2-12 years are subject to the range of IDR 200,000 to IDR 240,000 (one way) and IDR 300,000 to IDR 350,000 (PP).

Nusa Penida Fast Boat

“The speedboat has enough space to fit about 85 people, so there is enough space for all passengers. Using a speedboat is also faster, 35-45 minutes have arrived in Lembongan. If a regular boat, it will take one and a half hours to arrive, ”said Annie Kusuma Dewi, sales marketing for Arthamas Express Cruise, a travel agent with a special purpose to Nusa Lembongan.

On average, each travel agent, which each has its own office along the Sanur Beach Walk, has at least one fastboat operating every day. So, with approximately 10 travel agents along Sanur Beach, there are at least 10 bali gili fast boat operating every day.

Each of these fastboats has different departure hours in the day. Arthamas Express Cruise's fastboat, for example, has three departure times a day, namely 08.15, 11.00 and 16.15 Central Indonesian Time (WITA). In addition, there are travel agents who operate only twice a day, but there are also those who are “diligent” operating four times a day.

As for tourists who choose to travel using this bali gili fast boat, most of them are tourists, both domestic and local. Users other than tourists, such as residents of Nusa Penida or Lembongan who work on the island of Bali or vice versa, prefer to use traditional boats which have cheaper rates compared to using fastboats.

The number of tourists visiting Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan is unpredictable. There are months when the number of tourists increases drastically, but there are also months when tourists are not as busy as usual. In contrast to the assumption that this is influenced by the holiday season, it turns out that the level of visits is unpredictable.
